Kotak Neo: An Overview
Kotak Neo is a modern, tech-first trading platform from Kotak Securities, available as a web and mobile app. It supports trading across equities, futures & options (F&O), currency, commodities, mutual funds, IPOs, ETFs, bonds, and more. The platform includes advanced tools like real-time market quotes, TradingView charts, basket orders, option payoff analyzers, market screeners, SIPs (SipIt), and margin trading facilities (MTF) with collateral pledging. For serious traders, it also offers NEO Trade APIs and a desktop terminal (Nest Trader), alongside Kotak's research insights and live market updates.

What You'll Need
Prerequisites
- You need to have a Cirrus Account. If you don't have one, follow the signup guide.
You need to have an active Demat account in Kotak Neo. If you don’t have an account, create an account on Kotak Neo. Make sure to activate F&O on your account.
Step-by-Step Instructions
• Sign Up/Register at https://www.kotaksecurities.com/platform/kotak-neo-trade-api/ to get Kotak Neo API
• Once registered you will get Username and Password use the same to sign in at https://napi.kotaksecurities.com/devportal/apis/
• Once logged in click on Application
• Click on Add new Application and add credentials accordingly
• Now once application is created go to subscriptions tab and click on subscribe APIs
• Click on subscribe for each of the options
• Now go to production keys option scroll down and click on generate key in order to generate API key
• Now you will get your API keys copy the API key as consumer key and API secret as consumer secret, copy these keys for further use.

Deposit via net-banking, UPI, IMPS/NEFT/RTGS, or Kotak Direct Access in-app.
4. How do I pledge shares?
In the app's Funds section, select eligible securities to pledge. Authorize via NSDL OTP to unlock margin.
